We areseeking an experienced Locums Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to providenewborn call coverage in a hospital setting in Marion, NC. This role is idealfor a provider with strong neonatal experience who is comfortable handlingdeliveries, newborn resuscitations, and performing procedures such ascircumcisions.

Thisposition requires a dedicated and responsive provider to ensure high-qualitycare for newborns and support to the OB team.

• Coverage Dates:
• November 26 – 29
• December 24 – 25
• Shift Schedule: 24-hour coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Call Type: Newborn call coverage, response required if requested by OB provider
• Practice Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based 

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour newborn call coverage, including in-person response when needed
• Attend and assist with deliveries, including newborn resuscitation
• Perform newborn assessments, rounds, and consultations
• Perform procedures such as circumcisions
• Manage phone calls related to newborn care and provide guidance to hospital staff
• Collaborate closely with OB providers and the care team to ensure safe, high-quality neonatal care
• Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately 

Requirements

• Certification:
• Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certified
• Licensure:
• Active North Carolina (NC) medical license – no exceptions
• Active NC DEA license
• Experience:
• Prior experience with newborn care and call coverage required
• Competency in circumcisions, neonatal resuscitation, and delivery room response
