About the Role

Tecla is looking for a hands-on SEO & PPC Specialist to own our search engine optimization, paid advertising, and conversion rate optimization programs. You’ll manage all search-related initiatives that drive qualified traffic, improve conversion rates, and increase lead and meeting volume.

This is a full-time role based in Austin, TX . You’ll work remotely most of the time, but must be available for in-person team meetings and collaboration sessions several times per month. You’ll report to the Growth Marketing Lead and CEO and collaborate closely with our web developer, content creator, and marketing team.

Responsibilities
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy focused on qualified traffic and lead generation.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap audits.
  • Optimize on-page SEO elements including copy, meta data, internal linking, and schema.
  • Monitor technical SEO performance (Core Web Vitals, indexing, redirects, etc.) and work with our web developer to implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure every page, blog post, and landing page is optimized for performance and search intent.
  • Manage link-building and site authority growth initiatives.

PPC (Paid Media)

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other platforms.
  • Write ad copy and headlines that convert while maintaining brand voice.
  • Build and optimize landing pages (in collaboration with marketing and design).
  • Manage budgets and monitor spend efficiency to improve CPL and ROI.
  • Develop retargeting campaigns to re-engage site visitors and event attendees.

CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization)

  • Lead A/B testing on landing pages, forms, and CTAs to improve conversion rates.
  • Analyze user behavior through tools like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity to identify friction points.
  • Collaborate with the web developer to implement design or layout improvements.
  • Report on performance metrics and highlight actionable insights for continual improvement.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Report directly to the Growth Marketer.
  • Collaborate with Pedro (Web Developer) for technical implementations and CRO tests.
  • Work with Denise and the content team on SEO-driven blog and page optimization.
  • Deliver bi-weekly performance reports with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Mentor and guide a junior marketing assistant for research, outline prep, and content coordination.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing both SEO and PPC campaigns.
  • Proven success improving organic rankings, qualified traffic, and lead generation .
  • Expertise with Google Ads Manager, Search Console, GA4, SEMrush or Ahrefs, Looker Studio, and Hotjar .
  • Strong copywriting skills — able to write ad copy and landing page content that converts.
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking CPL, Conversion Rate, and Lead Volume.
  • Familiarity with Webflow or similar CMS platforms (preferred).
  • Comfortable collaborating across marketing, content, and web development teams.
  • Based in Austin, TX , with ability to attend occasional in-person meetings.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time position
  • Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000 (Austin-based)
  • 401k Safe Harbor Contribution: 3% of base salary
