What to Expect

When you reach out

After you email me or call me, I’ll get back to you to set up a 20-30 minute phone consultation. This is our chance to introduce ourselves and for you to discern if I’m the right fit for you. I will ask you about:

  • What your wanting to address in therapy/what you’d like to change in your life
  • If you you’re seeking therapy for trauma, I’ll ask that you not share details on this phone call but to share broadly what happened to you
  • We’ll talk about logistics and scheduling
  • We’ll discuss my rates and ways to pay

If you decide to start therapy with me

Before our first appointment, I will send you an email with a  link to my client portal with a temporary password. In the confidential portal, you can fill out necessary intake forms and in the future fill out additional forms, questionnaires or psychological tests, if needed.

Also included in that initial email is a google maps link to my office and my Zoom link for telehealth sessions.

In-person therapy

Because my office doesn’t have a waiting room, please arrive right at your appointment time or wait in your car to come upstairs. If the door is open, I’m ready for you! If closed, I’ll be right out.

Remote therapy

Find a quiet and private place to talk. Ensure you have a strong internet connection and have the most recent version of Zoom on your laptop or phone. Please close all other tabs in your browser.

Please allow some time after therapy for reflection and settling.
